Puree

I am trying an experiment. I am borrowing a cook book from my neighbor that is all about adding pureed vegetables to regular recipes called "Deceptively Delicious." I want to try to boost the overall healthiness of our food, so here I go! So far I have tried several recipes and like most of them. My favorites are adding squash to mac and cheese and carrots to deviled eggs.

Soooo, Comment #1 answered my question: Does Bryan know about this experiment? {I would have kept him in the dark as long as possible!}

Dude--Bryan, until YOU start cooking dinner there will be no pity from this camp.

I cook when the occasion arises. For instance, valentines day I made Salmon en Croƻte for Nat. One of her favorite dishes.

I'll have to find some use for the left over wine ...

Ooooooh. Fancy salmon dish gets serious points. Kudos on cooking for the occasion! Sounds like a truly worthy meal.

I should clarify my previous pop-off...it was more a displaced protest at the drudgery of coming up with creative, tasty, nutritious meals ad nauseum, day in/day out. I meant to applaud Nat's efforts to integrate some ingenuity in the ol' veggie-inclusion battle.

And Bryan, there has GOT to be some kind of wine-soaked fudge recipe out there for you. I'll keep a lookout.

When I got the wine, I also got an orange liqueur. I'm excited to try orange fudge! Maybe it'll taste like a cream-cicle.

We have that book. We experimented with it for awhile and then we didn't do anything with it. We liked the cauliflower mashed potatoes.

You might have to add extra vanilla to the fudge to get the full cream-cicle flavor.
